International--The VI Santo Domingo International Theatre Festival (Dominican Republic)

The VI Santo Domingo International Theatre Festival kicks off tomorrow June 17^th through the 24^th, 2009. Participating are theatre companies from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Canada, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Venezuela and Dominican Republic, adding to a total of 61 theatrical productions.

Canada: Heaven

Aside from the shows, the festival’s line-up includes different acting, dramaturgy, directing, set design and puppetry workshops.

Ecuador: La Muchacha de los Libros Usados (The Girl of the Used Books)

Fifteen different theaters in Santo Domingo will be housing this annual theater festival, including their National Theatre, and the Theatre of Fine Arts.

Dominican Republic: Los Clavos (Nails)
